Dr. Laura Ruby

Dr. Laura Ruby has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. Known for her compassionate bedside manner and keen eye for detail, Laura excelled in her advanced clinical studies. She proudly received her Post Master's Certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from Johns Hopkins University and her DNP Clinical Doctorate from the University of Maryland. In addition to advanced clinical education, Laura has a passion for holistic medical care and is Board Certified in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine.

Laura currently practices integrative medicine as the Medical Director and Proprietor of the Optimal Wellness Center. There, she further explores the connection between stress, illness, and chronic disease. Recognizing that stress is one of the biggest triggers of inflammation and chronic disease within the body, she co-founded The Med Spa to offer her clients a comfortable place to relax and rejuvenate.

With her passion and skill for education, Laura has awed and inspired many to begin their walk down the path toward wellness and wholeness, helping clients to become their optimal self. The Optimal Wellness Center, and The Med Spa are all located within the same building and work synergistically to treat the whole self.
